What you need to know about delivery notes
When your customer has ordered a product you should include a delivery note with the delivery. In this article, we talk about what a delivery note is, its purpose and what information it should contain.
What is a delivery note?
A delivery note is a document listing the contents of a delivery. In the delivery note it is specified what product or products are being delivered. It can sometimes also contain information the buyer might need for their bookkeeping. The delivery note allows the buyer to easily check that the contents of the parcel match what was ordered.
What information should a delivery note contain?
Because there are no strict rules about the design of delivery notes it can contain various details. As a business owner it’s entirely up to you to decide how detailed your delivery notes should be, and what information is relevant to your business.
