What is Pacsoft Online and Skicka Direkt Business?

Skicka Direkt Business is PostNord’s new shipping tool for businesses. It’s part of Portal Business and doesn’t cost anything extra to use. The tool is just as simple as the popular Skicka Direkt, but with more functionality to make your logistics more efficient.

Pacsoft Online is an older shipping tool, which can still be used by existing users. It will, however, gradually be phased out.

How do I access Skicka Direkt Business?

Skicka Direkt Business is a free tool in PostNord Portal Business. If you don’t have access to PostNord Portal Business you can apply for it on portal.postnord.com. As a new user you need to be or become a business customer. When applying you identify yourself using BankID.

What do I do with all my delivery addresses in Pacsoft Online?

You can easily export the addresses to Excel from Pacsoft and import the Excel file to Skicka Direkt Business. Check out discover-se where there’s also a video that shows you how to do this. https://portal.postnord.com/discover-se/skicka-direkt-business/. You can also schedule a meeting for assistance.

Are all PostNord services available in Skicka Direkt Business?

Today, all essential features are available and PostNord will implement more services in Skicka Direkt Business in the coming months.

I currently have an integration between my e-commerce system/business system and Pacsoft Online, what do I do?

Pacsoft has been a free system, will I have to start paying now?

The new shipping tool from PostNord, Skicka Direkt Business, will be the new free system without any monthly fees or volume fees.

I need help to get started with Skicka Direkt Business

PostNord offers demonstrations of Skicka Direkt Business free of charge, and you can schedule digital meetings in which we help you move your delivery addresses and give you advice regarding the setup of Skicka Direkt Business.

Where do I view my contracted prices?

When the company is connected to PostNord Portal Business all client numbers and agreement prices are automatically included and shown when a package is sent through Skicka Direkt Business.

Who can use Skicka Direkt Business?

All companies that have an agreement with PostNord can connect to PostNord Portal Business, where Skicka Direkt Business is included as a free service. The first user who applies will automatically become the administrator in the portal and can then add more users and define their rights to certain features they are allowed to use in the portal.

Who handles support for Skicka Direkt Business?

The PostNord digital customer service is responsible for and highly competent in Pacsoft and Skicka Direkt Business. You can reach them at +46771-37 10 15.

Why are you closing down Pacsoft?

For several years PostNord has invested in a new technological solution to create a company portal for business clients, including the new shipping system Skicka Direkt Business.

Regular surveys with Pacsoft Online users collect opinions regarding functionality that lead to adjustments or, in this case, transformations. The user interface of Skicka Direkt Business is a direct response to demand and designed to meet a need that we have clearly seen in our user surveys. We are now pouring everything into developing these tools. Skicka Direkt Business has increased in use in the last year, and we can’t maintain two shipping systems going forward.

For how long can I still use Pacsoft Online?

We are performing a gradual move in 2021 with various end dates throughout the year, communicated directly to the affected users. We do this to be able to offer demonstrations and assistance online in an efficient way. Order connections to Pacsoft will be supported until May 2, 2022.

Is it possible to define different profiles for different users?

In PostNord Portal Business the administrator or a designated person can create various profiles with access to, for example, only pre-made templates in Skicka Direkt Business. They can also define the sender and what receivers the various users are allowed to use.

Do I have to go through all the steps to send a package?

There are templates in Skicka Direkt Business that can easily be created to fit the type of shipments you want to send regularly, for example Bill of Lading First Class, and the person who sends the package does not need to go through all the steps again.

What integrations are available today?

PostNord works continuously to create more integrations, and today import of files, bookings API and soon an integration with Klarna and a number of e-commerce platforms are available. You’ll find more information about the progress at

What are the guidelines for booking pallet & parcel goods?

  • Bookings of 5 pallets/package cages or less beyond ordinary collection volume can be made on the same day before 14:00 for same-day collection on weekdays.
  • Bookings of more than 5 pallets/package cages beyond ordinary collection volume need to be made the day before, before 14:00 for collection on the following weekday.
  • For bookings of more than 18 pallets/package cages beyond ordinary collection volume, contact customer service at +46771-33 33 10. hämtningsvolym, kontakta Kundservice på 0771-33 33 10.
  • Provide client number, collection address and delivery address.
  • How much do you want us to collect; number of pallets or package cages and pallet type (meaning half pallet, quarter pallet, full pallet, special pallet/sea pallet, individual goods).

Example 1: Booking of 5 pallets before 14.00

  • Company X has a fixed collection of 10 pallets per day.
  • Around lunchtime they book collection of another 5 pallets.
  • The rule states: Bookings of 5 pallets or less beyond ordinary collection volume can be made on the same day before 14:00 for same-day collection on weekdays. 
  • The extra booking is no problem. PostNord will collect from Company X as usual and solve the extra volume during the day.

Example 2: Booking of 8 pallets before 14:00

  • Company Y has a fixed collection of 10 pallets per day.
  • Early in the afternoon the company receives a large order and needs to increase the collection with 8 additional pallets.
  • The rule states: Bookings of more than 5 pallets beyond ordinary collection volume need to be made the day before, before 14:00 for collection on the following weekday.
  • PostNord collects the fixed order of 10 pallets, while the additional volume of 8 pallets will be collected the following day.

What organizations can get access to Portal Business?

Portal Business is available to all companies and businesses in Sweden that have an agreement with PostNord. If your company does not have such an agreement, you get one as part of the signup process.

Who can sign up and create an account?

If you don’t already have an agreement you need to sign our customer agreement as part of the account creation process. You need to be the signatory authorized to sign on behalf of the company or have the signatory’s approval. You identify yourself using BankID. You’ll also need your organization number.

If you already have a company agreement, all you need is your PostNord client number.

How do I find my organization number?

Check the company’s registry certificate

If you are the signatory or part of the board you can log in to bolagsverket.se to find it.

Search online

Perhaps you are not the signatory. You’ll find the organization number of most companies by looking them up in databases, for example allabolag.se.

Check in Pacsoft if you currently use it

If you have a Pacsoft account you can find your organization number in Pacsoft.
1. Go to pacsoftonline.se and log in
2. Click on Properties (Underhåll)
3. Click on My Account. You should see your organization number on the Basic Information tab.

How do I find my client number?

If you are the Admin, check the company settings in the portal

If you are the administrator of your portal account, go to the client number list found under company settings. Here you can view all your client numbers and request adjustments to for example invoice references.

Ask someone who is a signatory of your company

If your organization has an agreement with PostNord it means that a signatory has most likely created it. This person probably has access to client number information.

Contact your PostNord sales contact

If your organization has a PostNord sales contact, that person will gladly help you find the right client number.

Check in Pacsoft Online

If you have a Packsoft account you’ll find your client number there.
1. Log in to pacsoftonline.se
2. Click Properties (Underhåll)
3. Click Sender
4. Click New Sender
5. Scroll to the bottom – under PostNord Letter or PostNord Sverige AB you’ll find your client number. Both work.

What are the booking rules for pallets and package goods?

Can I schedule collection of the packages I send in Skicka Direkt Business?

For the first quarter of 2020 you can schedule collection of up to 10 packages in Skicka Direkt Business.

How do I upload a .csv file?

Click on Skicka Direkt Business and Addresses in the top left side. At the top of the page you’ll find the features Import and Export, where you can both download and upload your customer register. https://portal.postnord.com/shippingtoolpro/addresses/recipient/list

Can I change or cancel my order after it has been booked?

You will not be charged for shipping labels until the delivery has been sent or scanned by us. This means that you can print any number of labels free of charge. If you spot an error on a label you can easily correct it and print a new one. In this regard, Skicka Direkt Business works just like Pacsoft.

What is a trackable letter?

Recommended: When the letter can only be delivered against a signature by the receiver.

Delivery confirmation: When you want to receive an e-mail confirmation of delivery.

What letter services are in the portal?

Here are all the PostNord services available today to create templates. As you can see, there are both package and letter services.

Frequently asked questions about returns

How long does a return take?

A return is usually delivered in 1-2 working days from the day it’s collected by us or delivered to a collection point.

Why should I use the PostNord return services?

Our return services provide faster, simpler and more secure returns for customers as well as businesses.

Should I choose Return Pickup or Return Drop Off?

It depends on what’s being returned. Return Pickup is great for larger and heavier returns, while Return Drop Off is meant for smaller packages.

How do I generate a QR code for a return?

QR codes are created in your shipment list in PostNord Portal Business. There, you’ll also find clear instructions on how to do it.

How does return with QR code work?

When you create a return using a QR code we will text/e-mail the QR code to the customer (also available in the PostNord app). The customer brings the QR code to any service point who will then print the label after scanning the code.

In what ways can I let my customer handle a return?

Your customer can either return the package at a service point/collection point (Return Drop Off) or have it be picked up at their home (Return Pickup).

How do I create a return for collection (Return Pickup)?

In MyReturns, the customer creates the return themselves and schedules a time for pickup. Our driver will bring the label when making the pickup. If you create the return via your portal account or a third-party system, you need to send the label to the client. Or, you can use an add-on service to have our driver bring the label during pickup. The customer must schedule a time for the pickup separately at returns.postnord.com.

How can my customer schedule pickup for a return?

Your customer books it directly via https://returns.postnord.com/ using the shipment number or via MyReturns if the return was created there.

What is MyReturns?

PostNord’s own digital return solution is available at https://myreturns.postnord.com/.

How do I view my invoices?

You’ll find your invoices in the left side menu in the portal.

How often do I receive invoices?

It depends on your agreement with PostNord.

Label printer

How do I install a label printer?

You first need to install the printer drives and print a test page to make sure it works. If it doesn’t work, contact the printer manufacturer.

How do I install the PostNord Label Printing Client?

To send a printing job to your printer you need to install PostNord’s label printer client on a computer with access to both the printer and the internet. We support both Windows and MacOS/OS. Follow our guide here or go straight to:

What is a RAW print?

RAW print sends a command to a printer directly in its native language. A RAW print circumvents the drivers making it a lot faster and more reliable. This is perfect for printing receipts, bar codes and text-based labels.

RAW printer language

There’s a wide range of RAW printer languages, so before you begin you must check with your manufacturer what languages are supported. Zebra printers usually support EPL and/or ZPL (you can check what language your Zebra printer supports by looking at its ID sign, usually at the bottom of the unit). DYMO printers currently don’t support RAW printing. The following are some of the most commonly used languages:

EPL (Eltron Programming Language): Eltron was the predecessor to Zebra and EPL is still supported by many Zebra printers.

ZPL (Zebra Programming Language): This language replaced the older EPL, but many printers still support both languages.

ESC / P (Epson Standard Code for Printers): Typically used to check receipt printers.

How to get started

If you have a printer that supports RAW printing installed on a Windows machine you are now ready to start RAW printing. If you use MacOS/OS X you need to follow the instructions in our installation guide before printing.

What printers are supported?

The drivers installed on your computer are used to communicate with your printer, so if you can print on it normally it also works with the label printer client. The following examples are printer models that have been successfully used for label printing. Don’t worry if your printer is not on the list, it will still work.

 

The following are examples of printers that support label printing via PostNord Portal.

If your printer is missing from the list it will still work as long as it meets our requirements regarding printing width for PostNord standard labels, 105 mm wide with a resolution of 203 dpi.

Label size

PostNord has the same width on all its labels, 105 mm. The length is handled automatically.

How can I view who can collect shipments on behalf of my company in the portal?

You can view your representatives in the left side menu in PostNord Portal Business.

Who can view my company’s representatives?

You as the administrator have the rights to see what permissions your company has given out regarding who can collect shipments on behalf of the company. If you are more than one administrator, contact the PostNord customer service at kundservice.foretag@postnord.com to tell us who should have the rights to view representatives.

Can I remove and add representatives?

Yes, absolutely. We have collected all permissions in one place so that you can easily keep track of who can collect shipments, add new permissions, and remove permissions if needed.
